Barbara Hanley
With more than 40 years in the travel industry, Barbara has dedicated her career to helping travelers create unforgettable experiences around the world. She began in corporate travel before discovering her true passion — cruising — which quickly became her favorite way to explore the globe.
If Barbara had a nickname, it would be “Where to Next,” because she’s always ready to help clients discover their next adventure. She works with individual travelers and groups alike, crafting customized vacations tailored to each client’s interests, style, and budget.
Barbara’s greatest joy comes from working with people and helping them plan the perfect trip. Throughout her career she has owned and managed travel agencies, and has proudly been affiliated with Travel Planners International since 2013. For Barbara, travel is about creating memories that last a lifetime.
Kathy Friedle
Kathy joined BD Getaways in 2025 as a Travel Advisor, proudly affiliated with Travel Planners International. With more than 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, she brings a unique and compassionate perspective to travel planning — especially for travelers with disabilities and accessibility concerns.
Kathy believes everyone who dreams of traveling should have the opportunity to experience it, and uses her professional expertise to help clients confidently enjoy meaningful travel tailored to their needs.
Alongside her healthcare career, Kathy has always loved organizing events and memorable trips for family and friends, coordinating everything from high school reunions to large group getaways. An avid tennis player, she loves creating themed group vacations that bring people together around shared passions. For Kathy, travel is about connection, adventure, and making lifelong memories accessible to everyone.
Kaley Jarvis
Kaley is the newest addition to the BD Getaways team. A self-described history buff and “travel nerd,” she brings a passion for discovering the stories, cultures, and hidden details that make every destination unique. Her strong research skills and keen attention to detail ensure every trip is thoughtfully planned for a seamless experience.
With a deep interest in exotic destinations, historical landmarks, and immersive travel, Kaley enjoys helping travelers explore the world in meaningful ways. Her enthusiasm for uncovering unique opportunities makes her a valuable resource for personalized recommendations and well-organized itineraries.
